Pre amplifiers / line stages

The Allegro pre amplifier is designed to utilise the high performing 5670 / 6n3p series of valves. Such a high performing valve is very easily available as NOS with the 6n3 equivalent available new.

With recent world developments, as a company decisions needed regarding available valves. Hence these valves are inexpensive, available but not compatible with other similar.

The Allegro is designed to accept alternatives by removing the top cover, sliding three switches to use a commonly available ECC88 (and derivatives)

A second valve slot is under the removable panel so either type of valve may be used. Two top panels are supplied to alow either valve type.

BUT the 5670 is the best in this application. Two circuits are in the Allegro optimised for best valve type. Valve compliment is EZ80/EZ81 and either a 5670/6n3p/6n3 or ECC88/6DJ8/6922 or similar.

The Allegro has two line level input RCA sockets, A sub output  is provided with its own individual level control which increases / decreases with main volume control. A Legend Evolve is available on request with a headphone socket and 4 inputs.
